We Can Find Better Sponsors

"We're the people with the smile on the box. We're the re-inventors of normal. We dream of things that change your life, that disappear into your everyday. Of making the revolutionary, routine. Our accomplishments are things you barely think about, but can't imagine not having. Connecting your mouse to your front door was our Moon landing. Look around, what once seemed wildly impractical, is now completely normal. And normal, just begs to be messed with. When we bring you a new Kindle Fire, you should know that normal is going to change... again. Hey normal, take that…" (Amazon commercials)

Note the only two logos on Curiosity are for government institutions...NASA's website received 2 billion hits surrounding the landing; Congress should require NASA vehicles to seek sponsorship similar to Volvo Ocean Race/World Cup/Olympic events. Curiosity should look like a NASCAR entrant. home can encourage the public to expect advertising subsidized space exploration.

Depicting Settlement Coordination Facilities

Hopefully we will move away from referring to space travel as "missions" and Earth-based facilitators as "Control", but in any case, these are such real and depicted facilities (...speaking of which it's about time people who travel, tour, or work in space are referred to as "people or person or folks or guy or girl" rather than corny "astronauts" right?...let's make space commonplace...isn't everyone an astronaut nowadays?)

Factual Fiction: Animated HiRISE Elevation Data

So much professional-quality high-resolution broadcast-ready imagery is pre-made that making some visualizations will be like finding crown jewels in the gutter. These videos are compiled with off-the-shelf software from free NASA data. They would make gorgeous backgrounds, intersitals, and bumpers.
